Alistair Carr

Alistair was a pollution and fisheries officer for 15 years in the water industry before training as a wildlife reserve manager. Since then he has for more than 25 years been a professional ecological consultant. Alistair has a special interest in the provision of the year-round needs of target fauna by careful selection of native and non-native plants and habitat design in urban and suburban areas. He also has produced comprehensive urban and rural long-term management and monitoring plans for schemes at all scales including complex wetland schemes. He is an accomplished ornithologist. Key UK projects include the Athletes' Village for the 2012 Olympic Games, the Greenwich Peninsula Regeneration and Centenary Quay in Southampton. Overseas, Ali has been focally involved in the company's projects in south-east Asia and the Middle East undertaking research to assist green design, a subject on which he has published.
